Anxiety treatments: "Anxiety ISN’T something we genetically inherit or an illness or disease we contract. Anxiety is something we create. We create anxiety AND its resulting symptoms by the way we’ve learned to live and interact in the world.
Essentially, we live more stressfully and fearfully than others. As a result, we cause the body more stress and that stress produces symptoms of stress: anxiety symptoms.
While medication and other forms of symptom reduction treatments and remedies can help to diminish anxiety symptoms, they should NEVER be considered as anxiety cures. If the underlying causes of anxiety aren’t successfully addressed, they remain, and consequently, so will the likelihood of symptoms.
Learning what anxiety is, what it does to the mind and body, and more importantly, what you can do to eliminate it, IS the cure."
