Whoa! Happy Spring!

Here it is April already. The year is flying by so quickly. Enjoying the ride as we go. Well, that is now that Irv is feeling better, his blood pressure was out of control and he was sick to his stomach. But no heart, gall bladder, stomach, or colon problems were found. Thank God for insurance! In his spare time Irv & Irving spend their days working at Lexington on the land the Hiatt's bought. They are fixing it up to sub-divide and sell, someday...Josh is still subbing in the North Platte Public School system. Praying for a full time PE job for next fall. They found out they are having a baby boy! We are planning on Carter James joining us in 8 weeks or so. We are all so excited! Sarah has a new position at Yonkers as EsteeLauder counter manager. She is glad to be done with clothing! I am still keeping busy with work, church, and personal growth including yoga, strength training, and the Proverbs 31 90 day Jumpstart to Becoming the Woman God Wants Me To Be. It's been very reflective and hard to be consistant with it all, but what a blessing!

Happy New Year!

God's blessings to you all in 2009!
Ah, yes...the only things that remain the same is that things always CHANGE and there is always HOPE.

This year has brought unscheduled vacation time for Irv as he has been sick and not able to work for 3 weeks now. All of the tests on his heart and gall bladder have shown normal and we are thankful for that. Today he has been preping for an upper GI scope and a colonoscopy schedule for tomorrow afternoon. We are just praying for some answers to why he is feeling so poorly.

Besides that, Irving William is back home from CA. We had a wonderful trip to San Francisco and Nevada and he was a great tour guide!

Christmas Greetings

Well, it's back to work tomorrow. Officially, Christmas is over, both sides of the family have celebrated, Christmas Eve with the Hiatt's and Christmas Day with the Cogley/Kings. And what a nice Christmas it was. The Christmas Eve service was different but very touching and the candlelights during Silent Night is always awesome. We did the advent candle this year at the in-laws with the youngest kids lighting the candles. I even got everybody to sing Silent Night once, even though Irv wanted to sing let it snow, let it snow...It was a lot of fun. Christmas morning Josh & Lindy woke us up when they arrived. Of course, Sarah was already up! Breakfast casserole, muffins, & cinnamin rolls were made and when Anna and Angelina got there at 10 we opened the stocking and then ate. Everyone was starving by then! Presents from each other and Santa followed. Irv surprised me with a beautiful heart journey necklace. He's so naughty! (He bought himself a new shotgun!) A little nap while Jesus' birthday cake baked and we were off to my folks house at the lake. Tom, Darcy, Autumn & Hunter joined us there, actually we joined them as we got there after 2 and dinner was started already! Always a first for everything! What a fabulous dinner and wonderful afternoon! Jerry and family called and we got to talk to them briefly from Chile. (Kenny's family chose to go skiing this Christmas. So we missed them.) Sarah and Travis had to leave by 4 so she could go to work on Friday and the almost made it back to their home in Iowa be ended up in the ditch not far from Marshaltown. Thank God they were unhurt! The roads were so very icy! Irv had to work Friday too so left for S. Morrill on the train early that morning. By midnight he thought he was having a heart attack and called to say he was going to the ER in Scottsbluff! Josh & I left for the hospital and by the time we got there at 2:30 am they were dismissing him. Anxiety attack they said and told him to follow up with our family doctor on Monday. Well, he's still not feeling well, weak, hot, cold, headache, upset tummy. Has been sleeping most of the weekend. So we'll see what the docter says tomorrow...Pray, pray, pray...

Where did July go?

I can't believe it's almost been a month since we sold the house! Where did July go? We've been having a terrific summer visiting relatives and old friends, with all the reunions and weddings! What fun to reunite with family and friends and catch up! Just got back Wednesday from my trip to Pennsylvania, went camping in Benkelman (Sarah & Travis got to come too) for the Hiatt Family Reunion over the 4th and are going to Kearney Thursday and Friday for Kyle Rupp's wedding. Irving is flying in from San Fransico too! We just have been so blessed to be able to be surrounded by so many loved ones all the time!

Finishing Up...

Finishing up the spec house.

We've been finishing up the new house for weeks now since before the closing was postponed. We're still watering and God's still growing grass but Friday is the last day and it will be all said and done! Yea-ha! Irv did an excellent job with a little help from his family and I am so proud of him for the beautiful house he built. Now I just have to hope we love our new neighbors!

Thank you God!

We got a buyer and signed the papers to sell the new house last Friday. The inspector came on Monday, my day off!, and made a list of things to do to finish up. Like vent the crawl space and put in the dryer vent! Just a few little details. Plan on closing on June 13. Will be ready for the Nebraskaland Days Pre-concert picnic (party) on that day!!
