Christmas Greetings

Well, it's back to work tomorrow. Officially, Christmas is over, both sides of the family have celebrated, Christmas Eve with the Hiatt's and Christmas Day with the Cogley/Kings. And what a nice Christmas it was. The Christmas Eve service was different but very touching and the candlelights during Silent Night is always awesome. We did the advent candle this year at the in-laws with the youngest kids lighting the candles. I even got everybody to sing Silent Night once, even though Irv wanted to sing let it snow, let it snow...It was a lot of fun. Christmas morning Josh & Lindy woke us up when they arrived. Of course, Sarah was already up! Breakfast casserole, muffins, & cinnamin rolls were made and when Anna and Angelina got there at 10 we opened the stocking and then ate. Everyone was starving by then! Presents from each other and Santa followed. Irv surprised me with a beautiful heart journey necklace. He's so naughty! (He bought himself a new shotgun!) A little nap while Jesus' birthday cake baked and we were off to my folks house at the lake. Tom, Darcy, Autumn & Hunter joined us there, actually we joined them as we got there after 2 and dinner was started already! Always a first for everything! What a fabulous dinner and wonderful afternoon! Jerry and family called and we got to talk to them briefly from Chile. (Kenny's family chose to go skiing this Christmas. So we missed them.) Sarah and Travis had to leave by 4 so she could go to work on Friday and the almost made it back to their home in Iowa be ended up in the ditch not far from Marshaltown. Thank God they were unhurt! The roads were so very icy! Irv had to work Friday too so left for S. Morrill on the train early that morning. By midnight he thought he was having a heart attack and called to say he was going to the ER in Scottsbluff! Josh & I left for the hospital and by the time we got there at 2:30 am they were dismissing him. Anxiety attack they said and told him to follow up with our family doctor on Monday. Well, he's still not feeling well, weak, hot, cold, headache, upset tummy. Has been sleeping most of the weekend. So we'll see what the docter says tomorrow...Pray, pray, pray...
